Bulk Refills
-
Yes! Bring any clean container—empty or partially full. We’ll weigh it (tare) before filling so you’re only charged for the product.
-
Anything you’ve got at home—old detergent bottles, soap pumps, lotion containers, jars, etc. It doesn’t need to be fancy!
-
No problem. We have a sink available in-store if you need to rinse it out.
-
We’ve got you covered:
A free donation bin of community-sourced containers
A selection of new containers and jars for purchase
-
Absolutely—clean extras are always welcome! Just follow these quick guidelines before you drop them off:
Must have a lid that fits securely.
Wide-mouth only (no tiny spouts, pump tops, or narrow openings).
Clean & dry inside—no leftover liquid or food.
No strong food smells (pickles, kimchi, garlic sauces, etc.).
Please don’t bring: wet or dirty jars, containers without lids, narrow-neck bottles, pickle or wine bottles, or used drink containers (kombucha, soda, etc.).
If you wouldn’t refill it yourself, chances are no one else will either—so please recycle those at home.
Thanks for helping us keep the refill marketplace tidy!
-
Bring your empty container to the counter—we’ll weigh it.
Then, you can fill it, or we’ll do it for you (especially helpful with tricky pumps!).
Once filled, we will weigh it again charge by the ounce.
-
All bulk products are priced by weight (per ounce)—you pay only for what you take.
Prices are posted on each bulk container or on a nearby price sheet. Can’t find a price? Just ask—we’re happy to help!
-
Nope! It doesn’t matter to us how much or how little you fill your containers, as long as we can get the weight for the pricing.
-
Yes—just let us know which product and how much you need, and we’ll arrange a special bulk order for you.
-

Grains, beans, pasta, nuts, seeds, dried fruit
Coffee, tea, herbs & spices
Cooking oils: organic olive, canola, sunflower, and avocado

We’re transitioning our compost hauling service to our longtime employee (and friend!) Ray Silverman, who will now run it through his farm, Laughing Fox Farm LLC in Red Hook. Ray (photo below) has already been managing the composting operation for us since last year, so nothing will change for you—same drop-off at The O Zone, same pick-up service. The only thing different? He’ll be driving his own truck!
